Ian and Marjorie
Davenport live in the Chiltern Hills of Buckinghamshire, England and visited
the United States in August 2013. Marjorie
is a fluid, vivid writer and lover of natural history. Ian, a retired engineer and nuanced water
colourist, is a Cheshire Davenport, raised at Barnhall, Cheshire (near Vale
Royale). Marjorie composed the attached account of their recent excursion, including the Third Davenport Gathering in
Edenton, North Carolina.
